about this artist
Artist: Bob Parker
About the artist: Bob Parker studied Fine Art at the University of Durham and subsequently spent many years combining his painting with teaching on degree courses and establishing several degree courses. He currently lives in Somerset and has work exhibited at The Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.

His current source of inspiration is primarily the South of France between the Italian border and the mouth of the Rhone, an area favoured by the Fauvist School of artists, as well as Cezanne. He uses a variety of media, often mixed media, combining oils, tissue paper, oil pastel and a "scorching" technique with candle smoke to recreate the grit and aridity of the region.

His work demonstrates an individual technique and are highly collectable.
