Sue Atkinson was born in 1949 in Bradford and is the daughter of a Bradford wool merchant. She studied at Wakefield College of Art. A member of Leeds Fine Art Club, Sue Atkinson paints in a studio at Wakefield Art Mill, and on the beach at Runswick bay. Her pictures are charming and magical in quality and are in great demand. She is a natural people watcher and her enthusiasm for their antics shines through in her often amusing figure painting.
