Peter Barker - Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness
About the artist:
Peter is a master of the English landscape, whether depicting moody autumnal scenes, crisp winter rivers and trees, fresh spring meadows or the heat of high summer. His depiction of the landscape in all seasons captures, in a way that few artists can achieve, the timeless quality of the English countryside.
From an early age Peter exhibited an innate ability to draw and paint, winning a national competition at the early age of 14. In 2006 he won the Frank Herring award at the Pastel Society Exhibition and in 2009 the Ranelagh Press Award and the Stanley Grimm Memorial Award for the public's favourite painting at the ROI Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
