about this artist
Artist: Jim Farrant and Robert Freame Joint Show
About the artist: Robert Freame has exhibited with Marine House since we opened 14 years ago. For much of that time he lived in West Dorset and his interpretations of the Dorset Jurassic coastline have made him one of the most recognisable and most collected artists in the gallery.

Recently Robert has moved to north Norfolk to be near his grandchildren. He still continues his Dorset theme, but has augmented if with Norfolk Broads and coastal studies much suited to his love of big skies and water reflections.

Jim Farrant hails from an artistic family and lives in Taunton, Somerset. He specialises in depictions of carefully observed people, often engrossed in every day matters, set in attractive locations. Jim also enjoys painting wonderfully composed still lifes.
