Artist: Judy Hempstead 
About the artist: Judy grew up on the South Devon coast where her imagination was captivated by sea mists, the changing light and the grandeur and sometimes almost abstract quality of the spectacular coastal scenery.

Often painting small studies, it is her clever interpretation of coastal stretches in four panels on one painting that has attracted so much attention. She frequently persuades local fishermen to take her out to sea so that she can capture the continuity of the coastline.

A very popular local artist who has exhibited at The South West Academy Open Show.
