HOME North Devon BACKGROUND AND TECHNIQUE Tony studied life drawing and graphic design at Sutton Art School and was Creative Director for a national company for many years. He is an associate member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and winner of the RSMA Charles Pears Award, the 2019 RSMA TOPBOND Marine Award and the Peoples Choice Marine House Prize at the South West Academy 2019 Exhibition. He has also shown at the ROI. Tony’s marine paintings have been exhibited at the Mall Galleries exhibitions each year since 2015 and are held in many private collections worldwide. This current collection of work has evolved to depict a series of paintings celebrating the working lives of men in the British ship building yards, deep sea fishing and the British coal miners, evoking the atmosphere of industry during the pre and post war years.
