About the artist:
BACKGROUND AND TECHNIQUE
Following a degree in Fashion in the 1970’s, Pippa spent several years as a University Lecturer. In 2005/6 she gained distinctions in Post Graduate Certificates for Professional Studies in both Glass and Architecture and Glass and Fine Art.
Her aim is to create work that is both sensitive and contemplative, always carefully considering the context in which the work is to be shown. Preliminary sketches develop into thoroughly researched concepts and the world of drawing onto glass gives Pippa’s illustrative work another dimension. Much of her time is spent teaching both drawing and glasswork,
"the teaching enriches and inspires my own work"
